Madelyn Jane Curley (born December 3, 1981) is an American actress and former gymnast. She competed for the North Carolina Tar Heels. She was academic All American for four years. Maddy Curley, a former University of North Carolina Elite gymnast, made her feature film acting debut in Disney's "Stick It," an April 2006 release from Touchstone Pictures and Spyglass Entertainment. Since then, she has done bit parts in movies such as Least Among You and The Perfect Game. Curley, a native of Tallahassee, Florida, is as competitive an actress as she was a top gymnast. Curley competed for the University of North Caroline Tar Heels from 2001-2004 in addition she was a four-time Academic All-American and a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Curley was a four-time competitor at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Regional Championships. On campus she participated in Lab! Theatre, Company Carolina and Athletes in Action. Upon graduating from college, Curley was selected as one of 1,300 graduates from a field of 13,000 nationwide applicants to become part of the Teach America program, which encourages young educators to accept jobs in low income and rural areas. Curley spent much of 2004-2005 teaching Language Arts to students in the rural community of Rocky Mount. Curley played lead roles in several independent films as well as guest roles on television shows such as CSI New York, The Office, and Party Down. She also guest starred in the two-part season finale of "Cold Case" this May. Curley encourages everyone she encounters to have dreams and aspirations knowing that she herself is the prime example that dreams, no matter how big or small, can come true with hard work and perseverance. Curley played gymnast Mina Hoyt in the 2006 film Stick It. Curley stars in the 2016 gymnastics movie Chalk It Up. In the 2019 film Terminator: Dark Fate, Curley served as both the body double and stunt double for a younger Sarah Connor in flashback scenes. CGI was used to recreate Linda Hamilton's facial likeness from the early 1990s.
