She soon widened her training to include tap, jazz, ballet, modern, contemporary and hip hop, as well as played ringette. Her core acting training took place at Gastown Actors Studio in Vancouver, Canada, and she continued training and performing in Vancouver for many years.She then worked as a freelance travel and lifestyle writer. Her freelance work has been published in Reader's Digest, Air Canada's enRoute, WestJet magazine, USA Today, British Columbia Magazine, Western Living, Spa, FLARE, and VIA destinations.
