Born and raised in rural Cape Breton, Nova Scotia Liam moved to Riverview, New Brunswick in 1987 and there his city life began. Liam could usually be found spelunking in the "Fantastic" theatre during his time at Riverview Junior High School and it was love at first broken ankle. He chased a girl across the river to Harrison Trimble High School in Moncton and ran amuck of Mike Granville, the schools' English and Drama teacher. He somehow charmed Mike into casting the skinny soccer player in HTHS productions in grade 11 and 12.After a brief stint at St. Francis Xavier University, where he was in every production put on by Theatre Antigonish, he decided that his passion for performing trumped his interest in teaching. He moved back to New Brunswick and made a connection with a local casting director for TV and Film. (This was after an awful audition for Theatre NB.) To his surprise and delight he started to get work. Liam first worked on a few CBC short films that shot around the province that summer. He then landed a role on a short lived series CBC series called Daring and Grace. Deciding that he needed further training, if he was going to be serious about pursuing acting, he took the plunge and moved to Vancouver where he studied at Vancouver Film School in their full time acting program. After graduation he went on the study with many other professionals in the Vancouver market. He got an agent right out of school, and auditioned a lot, but jobs were elusive. There was marked progress though. In the first 2 years after grad he went from barely getting auditions, to being seen regularly, to getting call backs, to getting multiple call backs, to being short listed..... but that's really as close as he got.Moving back to Riverview in early 2005 was one of the most stressful things he'd ever done. It was down right traumatizing for his cat. Liam was hungry for a part and was refocused on acting again. First thing that happened was his old high school drama teacher Mike Granville got in touch with him and said that he'd retired and started his own theatre company. They were just starting work on a new show that was already cast, but would like to work with Liam in the future. That future didn't take too long. A few weeks later one of Mike's actors had a scheduling conflict arise and had to back out of the production. A phone call later Liam was on board. Liam has been a regular with the company appearing in 4 of the last 8 shows. Most recently Liam played the role of Daniel in Gillian Plowman's, powerful one act drama, The Wooden Pare.Liam got back into the film side of things as well. In February 2005 he landed representation at The Cassidy Group in Halifax, Nova Scotia and started auditioning again. Things have gone well to say the least. Liam has been batting the acting cycle ever since, booking multiple commercials, roles on episodic TV, in feature films and short film. His most recent film project called SunFish, in which Liam Co-Stars with the very gifted Mary Fay Coady, wrapped filming in December of 2008 and will be playing festivals and airing nationally later this year. Liam can also be seen in later 2009 in a National commercial campaign for Pizza Delight.
