Laura Shank was born in Lansing, Michigan in 1988 and has lived in the state ever since. Her family moved to Caledonia, Michigan when she was six years old and she got her first taste for the stage at her after school care center playing Sally in "A Charlie Brown Christmas." A star was born She joined the drama club as soon as she could in her elementary years, but her acting career because more solid when she was cast as Bular the narrator in the stage version of "Aladdin" with the Caledonia Community Players. She was extremely active in high school and community theatre during her four years at Caledonia High School and took home both of the theatre awards presented to seniors of CHS, the Senior Acting Award and the Caledonia Community Players Scholarship. After graduation, she attended Adrian College in Adrian, Michigan for four years and graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Interior Design with a minor in Theatre. In her years at Adrian she was in many shows, her major role coming in her senior year playing the male lead Antipholus of Syracuse in Shakespeare's "Comedy of Errors." She was also involved backstage in many productions mostly known for her set designs. She took home the award for Best Set Design two years in a row for her work on "Romeo and Juliet" and "The Insanity of Mary Girard." After graduating Laura focused immediately on her film career landing a role as Jessica in "All You Can Dream" straight out of college. Since then she has been in four other independent films shot out of Michigan. She is actively pursuing a career in film and television.
