Riverside is the most populous city in the Inland Empire region, located about 50 miles (80 kilometers) southeast of downtown Los Angeles. Martin's parents were the retail executive Doug Martin and the kindergarten teacher Debbie Jett.Martin made her acting debut in 1982, at the age of 7.
