Katie grew up in Illinois, attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison and moved to Los Angeles in 2001 to pursue screenwriting. She wrote and executive produced "Method" -- a film financed by DEJ and Trademark Entertainment that stars Elizabeth Hurley and Jeremy Sisto. "Method" was released by Warner Brothers in 2004. She also wrote "Homecoming" starring Mischa Barton and Jessica Stroup. The film is slated for a 2009 release. Katie has a number of original projects in active development including "Under the Skin" (a top 10 finalist in the first Project Greenlight competition), "The Stage Mother" (being produced by Curtis Burch's Latitude Productions) and "Beyond Good & Evil" (a semi-finalist for the Nicholl Fellowship). She is represented by Ramses IsHak and Michael Sheresky of the United Talent Agency.
