Karen Wexler

Karen was born in Buffalo, NY and then moved to Lake George, NY at the age of nine. Her first roles were with the Lake George Youth Theatre, in the late 1970s. She attended Vassar College and graduated cum laude as a drama major and received the Molly Thatcher Kazan Memorial Prize for distinction in Theatre Arts. Karen moved to NYC the very day she graduated from college in May of 1987, to begin her acting career. She worked in film and theatre in NYC for several years before attending Sarah Lawrence College for a masters degree in health advocacy in 1998. In addition to acting, Karen enjoys writing essays and last summer published her first book, Having My Cake, the Mastery of Mindful Eating, which is part memoir, part self-help. She presently resides in Brooklyn, NY.
