Julia Henning was born and raised in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan in a playground of settings. She followed the formula: theatre camps, drama classes at school, and even booking national commercials at a young age. However, the path to being an actor was not a linear one; Henning attended DePaul University in Chicago with the intention of studying philosophy- a nod to her pursuit and passion of understanding humanity. When she seriously started missing the process and reward of performing, Henning transferred to Columbia College Chicago, where she graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Acting.
