Josh Maldonado was born in Trumbull County in Warren, Ohio. His mom is German /Irish heritage and his Father is full blooded Latino from the Caribbean island of Puerto Rico. Joshua Maldonado's early life consisted primarily of martial arts and spirit type events which he has not elaborated on. He achieved his black belt status at the age of 17 one of the more younger at the time to authentically get the rank. During high school he became a musician and started making money playing gigs with his band. After graduating high school he attended the Ohio Police Academy, while working part-time as an assistant martial arts instructor. In 1994 he was offered a chance to work as a bounty hunter from a private bail bonds owner, but as fate would have it a high paying factory job called him for an interview the very same day and he decided to take that instead . A choice that would put him in line with his true calling. While still employed at the factory (he now hated) Josh decided to venture back into his music career, which quickly lead to a soundtrack, and musical score for an Independent movie, thus the beginning of his entertainment career. He started writing screen plays, creating additional music scores and landed his first semi-pro film camera. In 2000, Josh decided that factory work was not for him. He began writing, and attended a broadcasting school. Towards the end of the second semester he got an invite to finish his broadcast training at an ABC affiliate. The station landed him free-lance work, and voice over jobs. During his time at the television station he began to venture back into his screenplays, and Independent movie making. He started putting together Investors a production crew and located a cast. His first official Production was an erotic horror movie titled "Creepy Clips." Before Creepy Clips was picked up by a distributor, Josh was wrapping up his second feature titled "Slavez of Horror Land" which featured (his soon to be friend) Joe Shelby from George Romero's Dawn of the Dead." Josh wound up being the CEO of the Production and Distribution company Doorway Productions and Hostile Distribution where he created and released over 15 domestic and international titles direct to home video as well as a television show.
