John Dalesandro started acting at the age of 30 with bit parts in the TV series "Crime Story" and the feature film "The Untouchables" while banging away in class at Center Theatre on Chicago's North Side. Having trained with the very respected Natalija Nogulich, he has performed in nearly 40 stage productions and workshops. He is one of the original Chicago cast members of "Tony 'n Tina's Wedding"; played both Frank and Johnny in The 25th Anniversary Revival of "Lovers and Other Strangers" directed by Anthony Barnao at the Lex Theater in Los Angeles; played Paul in "Pollen Count" at Beyond Baroque in Venice, CA, directed by Aram Saroyan; several roles in "A View from the Bridge" directed by Jeff Seymour at The Gnu Theatre in Burbank, CA and the workshop reading alongside Joe Mantegna and Burt Reynolds (and subsequent world premiere) of "Walking on the Moon" directed by Natalija Nogulich as a member of The Grace Players Theatre Co. at The Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood.He has also worked as a professional wine captain in Los Angeles and passionately partakes in his favorite sport for the past 30 years - Chicago's storied game of competitive barehanded 16" softball. He has been the Shortstop/3rd baseman on The Mutts softball club for the last 12 years, the only no-glove, 16" Southern California champions.
