She was a scholarship winner to her high school, St. Teresa's Academy, where she maintained an A average for 4 years. She graduated from the University of Missouri (KC) with a degree in Theater and Speech. Jody acted in legitimate theater, before getting into films in 1974, upon graduating from college. She has been married twice, first time after her freshman year in college. The marriage ended 6 and a half years later. She remarried in about the mid 80s.
