Jody Lee Harris was born on 28 February, 1986 in London, England, to mother Linda and father Lee. She attended performing arts schools from the age of 11 and gained her early experience in independent short and feature films. In 2011, she won places at both Drama Centre London, to study a masters degree in screen acting and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York. Instead of taking one of the offers, Jody decided to move to Melbourne, Australia with her partner and in 2017 trained at the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) within the Screen Actors Studio.
