Joana Mensah-Woode was born on Sep 20, 1985 in Ghana. Joana Mensah-Woode's big-screen debut came with Uncanny X-Men - Season 2 directed by Eric Vence Green in 2012.

Joana was born and raised in Ghana and is multilingual; fluent in Akan (both Fante & Twi) . She discovered her love for acting at a very young age and enjoyed acting on stage in elementary school and through high school. She's studied, worked both in theater & film and continues to study & work to master her skill and talent.
