Jeremy Heynen took to the stage as an actor at a young age with a great interest in writing and directing. At 16-years old he began shooting features on Super 8 handy-cams, editing between two VCRs. After High School, Jeremy was accepted into a full-time film school, the Interior Film & Television Training Centre.In 2006, Jeremy took to the stage for the first time since high school with Shakespeare Kelowna. There Jeremy met Jeff Gant, who he would later co-produce Attic with, and Joe Welton, who Jeremy would later collaborate on A Quick and Dirty Experience with. In 2009 he directed and edited Circles and in 2010, The Sun Sets For No One music videos for the band, Helcion. Circles received a Royal Reel Award at the Canada International Film Festival.In 2011, Jeremy co-created a new film festival for the Okanagan Valley, Off International, taking on the role of film festival director. During the film screening process for the 2012 festival, Heynen wrote for an interactive horror web-series called Choose Your Victim.Jeremy returned to theatre in 2015, co-writing 2 original adaptations of Sleeping Beauty (2017) and Little Red Riding Hood (2018) with Alex Ross, directing Shirley Jackson's The Haunting of Hill House, Lisa D'Amour's Detroit and serving as President of Vagabond Players from 2017-2019.In 2019, Jeremy created the series Surprise Movies, which he produces, directs and edits for VRC Channel Productions with Alex Ross, Faith Hurd, Adam Beggs, Elizabeth Drummond and Ashley Chodat.
