Jennifer was born in Chicago. Her mother is Elizabeth Ciesar, a decorator and her father , John, started his own advertising company in the 1970s, Beverage Marketing Inc. She has a younger sister and a brother who is also a director and a writer.At age 11, Jennifer was ice skating and won a role as a princess in a show with Olympian Linda Frattiane. Shortly thereafter,she got too tall to compete and was not able to finish her freestyles which required double axel jumps.A few years later, however, (15), she was discovered by John Casablancas of Elite Models and he appreciated her 5'10 height and raw beauty and signed her immediately. She graduated early a semester from John Hersey High School in Arlington Heights and was one of 20 girls chosen to do the Haute Couture Collections in Rome for Elite. After her work in Italian Vogue she was working with top photographers such as Patrick Demarchelier and Michel Comte. Covers of magazines,(Harpers & Queens, Brides), Runway for Ralph Lauren in New York, and jetting all over the world before she was 20 concerned her father who wished her to go to College.In 1983 she spent one year at Indiana University to make him happy but then she went back to Paris.She appeared in the French Fashion Flic "Portfolio" filmed in France before deciding to study acting and for that she moved to Los Angeles. After studying in a Meissner School for two years, Jennifer landed the role of Claire in a Comedy entitled "Lovers, Lovers." After several straight to video features, over 20 National commercials and several MTV featured roles for bands such as ZZ Top, Jennifer returned to her past passion of buying and selling rare art and writing.In 2008, Jennifer gave birth to a son, Balthazar.
