Jeff Vespa was born in Baltimore, Maryland. He moved at an early age to Roanoke, Virginia, but moved back to Baltimore as a teenager, and started his film career with a small role in John Waters' "Hairspray". He attended the School of the Visual Arts in New York and while there worked at MTV on the Ben Stiller Show and the game show Remote Contol. Vespa received his BFA in Film at the San Francisco Art Institute, after which he attended the Masters Program for Producing at the American Film Institute.Vespa producing credits include the 1996 and 1997 Slamdance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, the 1997 AFI Film Festival in Los Angeles and the Lifetime Television Movie "Rituals" starring Isaiah Washington and Regina King which screened at the 1999 Toronto International Film Festival.In 2001, Vespa was one of the founders of the digital photo agency WireImage which quickly became the largest entertainment photo agency in the world. Vespa's photography has been featured in numerous publications including Vanity Fair, New York Times, Vogue, Wall Street Journal, Elle, InStyle and People Magazine.
