Janna Fassaert

Janna Fassaert was born on Jan 28, 1981 in Netherlands. Janna Fassaert's big-screen debut came with Couples Retreat directed by Peter Billingsley in 2009.

Janna Fassaert was born in Naarden, The Netherlands . When she was 8 years old she moved to South Africa, together with her parents, older brother, director Tom Fassaert and younger sister, actress Noortje Fassaert. Janna lived there until she turned 14, then she and her family moved back to The Netherlands. She was trained at the prestigious Dutch Theatre School in Maastricht for four years and after her lead in the Golden Globe awarded Bitches and numerous other shows, as Ugly Betty, was invited in by famous acting coach Ivana Chubbuck to come to Los Angeles to participate in her masterclass. Janna has also studied with Joyce Hiller Piven, Jeremy Piven's mother. Her international break came when she got a cast in the feature Couples Retreat (2009), directed by Peter Billingsley. She plays the role of masseuse Gert in a couple of hilarious scenes with Jon Favreau. Couples Retreat (2009) premiered in the Mann Village Theatre in Los Angeles October 5th, 2009. In the summer of 2009 Janna landed herself the lead of marine biologist Skylar Shane in the new international action-packed adventure film Amphibious 3D (2010) from director Brian Yuzna. Working and shooting a documentary during Summer 2010, in South-Africa, called Never Neverland, for the production company Liquid World Wide. recently working on the hit comedy show Easy to Assemble, together with Justine Bateman and Craig Bierko, created by Ileana Douglas, directed by Micheal Kang.
