James Ryan

James Ryan was born on Oct 15, 1952 in South Africa. James Ryan's big-screen debut came with Karate Killer directed by Ivan Hall in 1976, strarring Steve Hunt. James Ryan is known for The Visual Bible: Acts directed by Regardt van den Bergh, Dean Jones stars as Luke and Henry O. Arnold as Paul, formerly Saul of Tarsus. The most recent award James Ryan achieved is Wine Country Film Festival. The upcoming new movie James Ryan plays is Samson which will be released on Feb 16, 2018.

James Ryan originally burst onto the movie scene as a sinewy and lean martial arts hero via two low budget South African financed martial arts movies titled Tuer ou être tué (1976), and the sequel Tue et tue encore (1981). Both films were rather shoddy, mechanical productions...however, the acrobatic Ryan had a certain appeal and the movies were loaded with plenty of kicks and punches, plus they featured 8th Dan Shotokan karate expert Stan Schmidt and fellow South African 8th Dan Judo / karate exponent Norman Robinson .....both members of the South African Martial Arts Hall of Fame.
