Jackie Katzman is a Sundance Lab Fellow. She was raised in Skokie, Illinois, and lives in Los Angeles. Jackie worked extensively as an actor in Chicago theater before transitioning into Writing and Directing. She was on the festival circuit in 2019 with her multi-award-winning short film, The Strangeness You Feel, where it most recently won Best Short of The Year at New Filmmakers LA. Her Tv dramedy, Stone, is set up at Depth Of Field and Paramount with Chris Weitz (About A Boy, Rogue One) directing the pilot. Her Tv dramedy, Sylvia, is being produced by Peter Dinklage's Estuary Films, with Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini directing (American Splendor, Succession). Jackie will be Co-show-running with Evan Dunsky (co-creator of Nurse Jackie). Upcoming, she's directing her semi-autobiographical feature comedy, Hummingbird, produced by Bert Hamelinck and Michael Sagol through their Academy Award Winning company Caviar (The Diary of A Teenage Girl, Sound Of Metal, Chloé Zhao's The Rider). Jackie was a 2020/2021 Sundance Episodic Lab Fellow where she developed her TV show Loons.
