Jaba Melkadze is the director, executive producer and the former CEO of broadcasting company GDS TV. During last 10 years, he produced and directed multiple TV and film projects. In 2002-2006 he studied in Georgian TV-Radio broadcasting institute. He graduated as a director and worked for Georgian Public Broadcaster's different projects as a cameraman. From 2007 to 2011 Jaba Melkadze continued to work as a freelance director for other broadcasters and advertisement companies (Sarke, TV Imedi, NEO Studio etc), this helped him to acquire experience and make an impressive portfolio of his works, which included commercials, music videos, and TV shows. In 2011 he worked on the international project, a film called 247°F. as the first AD. Later, Jaba with his friends made first Georgian kids movie The Adventure of Ano & Vano. The movie was very well received and got very popular. Since 2012 Jaba worked at the broadcasting company GDS TV as the Head Director. During next two year's he had several positions within the company. He was Head of the Programming Department and General Producer. He managed several projects, but the most important are post-apocalyptic TV series Paradox. Jaba was the creator and director of the series. Paradox was the first TV content made in Georgia that was sold abroad. From 2013 Jaba Melkadze was GDS TV's CEO. He and his team decided to change channels main direction towards movies and series. From 2014 until the end of 2016 the channel presented Georgian viewers with the several new and high-quality Georgian TV series. After leaving GDS in October 2016, Jaba with partners set his own production company Icebreaker to fulfill his wish to move to the movie industry.
