J. Jiquel Lanoe

J. Jiquel Lanoe was born on Oct 03, 1875 in France. J. Jiquel Lanoe's big-screen debut came with The Broken Doll directed by D.W. Griffith in 1910, strarring Townsman. J. Jiquel Lanoe is known for The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse directed by Rex Ingram, Pomeroy Cannon stars as Julio Madariaga and Josef Swickard as Marcelo Desnoyers. The upcoming new movie J. Jiquel Lanoe plays is Prodigal Daughters which will be released on Apr 15, 1923.

Joseph Jiquel-Lanoë spent several years in Tahiti where he doubtlessly met Gauguin during his first stay in the late 1890's. He spent the last years of his life from 1940 to his death in 1948 in Papeete. Except for three paintings, one of them ("Trois Tahitiennes près d'un étang en forêt") revealing a strong influence of Gauguin, all traces of his work are gone.
