Born in Sofia, Bulgaria, on Jan 31, 1993, Hristo Ivanov came to the United States in June 1997. He lives in Los Angeles with his parents, older brother and younger sister.After a 6-month, nationwide casting search for an Italian-speaking boy, Hristo was the last child to audition for the lead role in Tamela D'Amico's short film entitled Volare (2004). Although not Italian or an Italian speaker, his Bulgarian roots and ear for picking up accents helped him nail the audition. He was offered the job on the spot.
