Hilde made her debut in the famous Tekstpierement group of Jos Brink and Frank Sanders. "Madame Arthur" was one of the most successful musicals she played in. This musical was about a club for drag queens during the Second World War, and is about a father performing as a drag queen, confronted with his son's sympathy for the German Nazi ideas. Acting in several musicals written by this famous duo, she finally made a step towards other work than dancing and singing. She went on to acting in TV soaps and other TV-series and finally made her debut in the Dutch film industry.
