Although best known for his work in the horror genre, Guns of Eden is pure action and he wrote the screenplay for the western Showdown in Yesteryear. He directed the midnight movie cult classic Slime City, Johnny Gruesome, Killer Rack, and Widow's Point starring Craig Sheffer. In 2019, he was honored with the Shawna Shea Film Festival's William Gerrity Award, named for the legendary Hollywood hyphenate William C. Gerrity. Fangoria magazine called him "the busiest man in horror."
