Gonzalo Lopez was born in Barcelona in 1977. He worked as production assistant in the film "Genesis" (1998) He is the author of 8 complete screenplays of which "Embryo" was the first one to be produced. "Embryo" is an official remake of the film "The embryo hunts in secret" directed by Koji Wakamatsu. In 2007 Mr. Lopez contacted Mr. Wakamatsu, and the veteran Japanese filmmaker agreed to the idea of a new and radical version of his film and licensed the rights to Mr. Lopez to make the film. This film is the first one directed by Gonzalo Lopez . After that he teamed with actor John Fallon to write together the short film "Old number 7" that was shoot in the early 2009, being this films his second effort as a cinema director.
