Gabriel of Urantia was born Tony Delevin, in Pittsburgh, PA. He is the son of a steelworker, born and raised in an Italian, Roman Catholic family. He grew up in blue-collar neighborhood in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.Gabriel's artistic nature blossomed at a young age and at age 6 he began singing on street corners and in 1960, at 14 he formed his first professional harmony group and went on to perform in night clubs and to record his first two albums in the 1960's. Gabriel also had a love for theater and studied at the Pittsburgh Playhouse.Gabriel of Urantia also uses the name TaliasVan in his musical career, fronting TaliasVan & The Bright & Morning Star Band.
