Born on the 22nd November in Hampshire, Freyja grew up in the harbour town of Gosport with her English mother, Italian father and younger brother. Animal lover and of the outdoors, she often walked the forest tracks near family town.Early Life From a very early age she had interests in acting, but had to wait until her teenage years before she could properly address her dream.Career1980s The starting point of Freyja's love of drama and theatre which allowed her to perform as the leading role of Mina in the comedy horror spoof 'Dracula Spectacular'. As she moved off the stage something inside felt like it clicked into place. From then on, Freyja's passion for drama grew and she actively sought out productions to watch and learn by, ready for the time when she could work on film.2000s She joined the Kinson Players Amateur Dramatic Society in Dorset to learn more about stage craft and character building. After a time and to her delight, she was asked to play a 'Mischievous Spirit' for the stage play of Charlie's Carrot.Her next role was in an actual film, based in the early Viking period where she was asked to do a short film called Northern Winds. It concerned a Viking lord who applies the knowledge given to him by a mystic to overcome his enemy, but at a great cost. Freyja then moved to Norway and appeared on the country's regional television channel NRK1. This added to her already growing list of European television appearances such as for French TV, RAI Uno from Italy, Brazilian Television and such like.The first main film Freyja appeared in was for Rufus Stone. Here she played the distraught mother of her gay son (Rufus), who gets mercilessly beaten by his over powering father because of his sexuality. It is a very deep and emotional film which has won awards and still has a lot of public interest. Also among her film listing is a short period drama of 1805 circa called Straw Hat, where she played a French painter. This was the first drama she had played in a comedy and one which she enjoyed immensely.Later, she has appearances in television documentaries such as for Discovery Channel's Air Crash Confidential and also working as a voice over narrator for BLESMA Transformers. She has even done voice over for a couple of audio series of fan based Doctor Who. Continuing on with television, Freyja donned the Welsh police uniform as a desk sergeant in SKYs Talking With The Dead series. Her latest addition has been in the successful television series of Midsomer Murders, where jodhpurs and a tweed jacket emulated her country villager character.Personal Life A devoted mother and wife, Freyja lives a full and active life of work, family and play. When not on set, she continues to writes children television series and also a fantasy novel. She is a keen Judo player, having fought for Southern England in the past and is a book worm to boot. When she has free time, Freyja likes to attend Doctor Who and Sc-Fi conventions, speak to fans and enjoys the excitement of those around her.She has in the past worked in number of different environments which includes being an area beat officer for Hampshire Constabulary, a call centre quality manager, first responder and an NHS ambulance driver. Her need to help people in crisis is much evident and is strongly reflected in the latter position.
