Frederic Lindsay

Born in Glasgow, Frederic Lindsay later lived in Edinburgh. He wrote for the theatre, radio, TV and film, and was the author of eight highly acclaimed novels, one of which was adapted into a major Hollywood film. He served on the Literature Committee of the Scottish Arts Council, and was actively involved with PEN and the Society of Authors.
