Frank Nunez
Frank Nunez was born on Oct 30, 1974 in USA. Frank Nunez's big-screen debut came with Uncharted directed by Frank Nunez in 2009, strarring Boat passenger.
Frank Nunez, (Producer/Director), an award winning filmmaker, got his first start in filmmaking when he decided one day to put down his 9mm gun and pick up a 16mm camera.Frank's life did not begin with the Hollywood dream. He did not take dad's camera at the age of seven and start making movies. His life was more like a Hollywood movie. Frank grew up in the Vista barrio, son to immigrant farm workers that couldn't afford for him to experience the excitement on the silver screen.Raised by a single mother, Frank soon became a statistic and fell into the hands of the streets. At the age of thirteen, he joined the local neighborhood gang. Within no time, Frank was serving time in San Diego Juvenile Hall. One evening during his stay, Frank was allowed the privilege to watch a movie. He became fascinated by the moving image. For the first time in his life, something gave him that feeling of hope.Sadly, Frank's life did not change upon release. But that hope still set in his belly. One day Frank and some friends ditched school and attended the screening of Edward James Olmos' "American Me". That would be the movie that would change Nunez's life forever. Right there and then, Frank Nunez knew he wanted to make movies. Years later, Frank signed up at a community college and without encouragement, without anyone to believe in him, Frank told the world he was going to be a filmmaker.Frank graduated with honors at California State University Northridge with a degree in Cinema Television of Arts emphasis Film Production. There in the San Fernando Valley, Frank worked on many films in order to craft his directing skills. The hands on experience helped him find the talent within and created a filmmaking giant. After school, Frank headed back to San Diego with his wife, Christina, and child Isaiah. He had many ideas and dreams to be fulfilled. On that journey, he formed a film production company called "Little Boyz Dreams, LLC" and came up with the idea to shoot a feature length film for fewer than ten thousand dollars; thus, "187 Shadow Lane" was born. After learning the fundamentals of indie filmmaking, he took a leap of faith to get the award winning comedy "The Yardsale" off the ground. At this point in his career, Nunez has various projects in different stages of development and looks forward to make his mark in Hollywood.
