Francis Mark Courtney McGowan is an independent Scottish film-maker, producer/director, media personality and musician from Glasgow, Scotland, UK.While a student of the Creative Industries in Glasgow in 2006, McGowan started work on several independent short films, eventually setting up 'Bad Pony Productions' in 2008 with fellow producer and school-friend, Michelle Martin. The "dynamic duo" received their first BAFTA nomination for the BBC aired "Looking After Mum", going on to win several awards in various categories 2009-2011.An Ernst & Young Future 100 Award Winner, honoring innovation, he is also a Best of British nominee and has worked behind-the-scenes on drama, short film, comedy and children's programming, as well as an executive behind the scenes in development.His directorial debut was on the feature-length TV pilot for TV drama 'Ninety Eight Percent' in 2009. He makes his Hollywood debut on feature film 'Evening of the Dead' set for production in 2020.McGowan is a well known Scottish media personality, and has made numerous appearances on daytime television -, most notably on celebrity chat and music show Open House with Gloria Hunniford - where he appeared alongside the likes of Elton John, Adam Rickett, Stephen Gately and Jenny Seagrove. He also made notable appearances on short-lived late night ITV debate show 'Trial By Night' and as a guest on BBC Radio Scotland.He is drummer for Scottish rock band Eric and the Bunny Boilers, a founding member of the group since it formed at high-school in Glasgow.
