Famous in Italy and abroad for his handsome look, Gasparri started acting at age 12, appearing as a child actor in some "peplum" flicks. After serving in the Italian "Folgore" paratroopers, he found the way of success through the "fotoromanzi", comic books made with pictures that sold widely in the 1950s and 1960s, that gave him immense popularity among young girls. His popularity increased even more when he starred as main character of "Mark the cop" in three movies he made in mid 1970s. His acting career come to an untimely and abrupt end on June 4, 1980, when a motorbike accident confined him on a wheelchair for the rest of his life.
