Francisco Athié

Francisco Athié was born on May 12, 1956 in Mexico. Francisco Athié's big-screen debut came with El anzuelo directed by Ernesto Rimoch in 1996.
Graduated from the Universidad Iberoamericana, has also studied Dramatic Art in London and Digital Imaging at the Ohio University. In 1991 he directed his first long feature film, _Lolo (1992)_, presented at the Cannes Film Festival. His second feature, Fibra óptica (1998), was premiered at the Rotterdam Film Festival.
