Fernando J. Scarpa is an award-winning director who began his career in theater in 1990 and has achieved extensive international recognition in Europe and in the U.S.In 2001 to 2005, Scarpa directed his own theater in Germany, directing plays such as 'Henry IV', 'Hamlet', 'Faust', and 'Luther', for which he was granted national funding and received both public and critical acclaim. In addition, Scarpa served as the Artistic Supervisor for the Theater des Westens, Berlin for musical shows, and worked as a director for both the national Italian station RaiUno and major German stations ZDF and SAT1.In 2005, Fernando Scarpa moved to the U.S. to gain experience in American film. His short movie debut "Brothers" immediately won Best Directorial Debut, Best Screenplay and Best Short Movie Award at the NYIIFVF in Los Angeles and New York.Graduated cum laude from the University of Salerno, Italy, Scarpa holds both a Theater as well as a Film Directing Certificate from the National Theater Academy in Rome and the New School University in New York.Fernando lives in Los Angeles where he's working on several projects in film and TV.
