Since 1984 until 2009 he has been director of the festival EuropaCinema and the TaorminaFilmFest. He is the founder and the director of Casa del Cinema (House of Cinema) in Rome. He was the associate producer of the film "Beyond the Clouds" by Michelangelo Antonioni and Wim Wenders, the writer of the film "Das Versprechen" and the writer and producer of the film "The Long Silence", both directed by Margarethe von Trotta. He is the founder and the director of Bif&st - Bari International Film Festival in Apulia, Italy.
