Erich Silva was born in New York City and grew up with his adopted artist mother who was a young black woman 18 years of age named Althea Dickerson. Erich moved around the United States with Althea throughout his childhood attending various schools in New Jersey, Boston, and California until finally settling down back in Harlem, New York City where he went on to attend the Harlem School of the Arts and later the more prestigious "Fame" famous High School of Performing Arts. Althea died from Multiple Sclerosis when Erich was only 16 years of age.Erich now in his early 20s relocated to Sweden where after a concession of smaller "walk on's" he played his first serious role in the Swedish thriller Livvakterna (2001). From there he went on to play minor roles in two International features, It's all about love (2003) starring Joaquin Phoenix and Claire Danes and Dogville (2003) starring Nicole Kidman and James Caan. He continues to actively work as an actor/writer in both Sweden and London, England.
