Elisa Mishto is a script writer and film director born in Italy and based in Berlin. After graduating with a MA in Semiotic at the University of Bologna, she studied directing and script writing at Goldsmith College in London. She directed and produced her first feature documentary "States of Mind", which premiered in competition at IDFA and was distributed in the US and Mexico by IndiePix and worldwide by Wide Management. Her short film "Emma and the Fury" had its world premiere at the film festival Max Ophüls and its international premiere at the Palm Springs Film Festival. It won best short at the Nottingham International Filmfestival, at the Flensburger Kurzfilmtage and is distributed by Interfilm Berlin. "Stay Still" is her first feature film and it has already won best screenplay at the Endas Expo, CineRockom International Film Festival and Mexico International Film Festival. It has been shortlisted for Page Awards, Creative Worlds Award, European Film Festival and Oaxaca International Film Festival. She has been working as a video artist, lyricist and boxing promoter.
