The son of professional actor Howard Inches, Duncan Inches attended Buckingham Friends School in Bucks County Pennsylvania. He graduated with a BA in Dramatic Literature from the University of Arizona, after accumulating credits from eight colleges, including Birmingham University Shakespeareana Extension. Directing and performing in numerous legitimate theatres from the Charles Playhouse in Boston to Round Company Supper Theater in Tuczon, which he helped to create, Duncan developed his own one person Shakespeare tour. Beginning in 1976, he began performing Shakespeare at colleges, secondary schools, and public theatres throughout the United States, including the Folger Shakespeare Library, the Papp Public Theatre, Harvard University, the original Boston First Night, and Hilton Head, where his audiences included President Clinton and his family.
