Donato Rotunno is graduated from IAD in Belgium in 1992. As a producer, Donato Rotunno co-founded the film production company Tarantula Luxembourg in 1995, through which, to date, he has supervised more than 24 feature films. Graduated from EAVE in 1999 and from « Producer on the move » at Cannes Film Festival in 2001 ; he has been a member of the selection comitee in Alsace Region (France) and participated to a lot of producer workshops in many festivals and market. His film director career started with the short film Nebbiolo Rosso, his end of studies' film which wins the best short film award at the Namur Film Festival, and continued with documentaries on themes specific, including immigration with Terra Mia Terra Nostra, cultural mixing and the relationship between contemporary art and film with Landscape with a corpse or more recently with the docu-fiction Dreams have a language, co-directed with Sylvie Blocher. His first feature-length fiction film, In a Dark Place, won the award for best artistic contribution at the Lëtzebuerger Filmpräis in 2007. Baby(a)lone, his second feature film, was selected in many international film festival and represented Luxembourg at the 88th Academy Awards for « Best foreign language film award ».
