Dominique Schilling grew up in Germany, Italy, and Switzerland, and moved to Los Angeles in 1998. She studied directing at the Beverly Hills Playhouse and went to film school at the New York Film Academy. Her films have screened in festivals all over the world. She also directs international commercials and music videos. Dominique Schilling's feature film A Reason (2014) which she wrote and directed, received awards at festivals in several categories including her award for "Best Feature Writer". She is co-owner of 'Risberg Schilling Productions', a production company which she runs with producer Caroline Risberg. Her father is record producer Dieter Dierks (Scorpions, Twisted Sister), her half-siblings are Michael Dierks and Michaela Dierks.
