Denver Mendiola was born in Manila, Philippines, the youngest of seven children to Reynaldo and Carmelita Mendiola. She was born into a life of poverty and daily struggle. Her family was very poor and and often had to move from place to place. When Denver was just 10 years old, her beloved mother was killed in a brutal murder. She was then sent to America to be adopted by distant relatives, but ran away at the age of 17. She worked different jobs and experienced many misfortunes. Despite this, she continued to move forward with faith on her side, fulfilling many childhood ambitions and dreams like film directing and music. After a decade of self studying and making short films, she created Denver Mendiola Films. A faith-based film and production company, dedicated to create and tell the stories and wonders of the greatness and goodness of God.
