David Ginola is a former French International football player of absolute world class. He play in France for Paris Saint-Germain before making the move to the English Premier League to become a Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur legend. David Ginola, nicknamed "El Magnifico" by the Spanish press after masterful displays for PSG against Barcelona and Real Madrid, was voted 'Player of the Year' in both France (1994) and England (1999), the only French player to have been bestowed both these honors. Since retiring from football, David Ginola has pursued several new activities, including acting and presenting. For his first feature film, THE LAST DROP aka OPERATION MATCHBOX, David Ginola was cast alongside Michael Madsen, Nick Moran, Karel Roden, and Billy Zane as 'Corporal Dieter Max', a renegade German sniper. This World War II heist movie premiered in Cannes in 2005. Other TV appearances include the leading role in THE CENTRE, BBC television, 2004, comedy for City Lights, ITV (2006). In 2008, David Ginola played Alexandre, a fashion photographer, in a special edition of the CBS series THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS, shot in Paris to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the show's broadcast in France where is it known as Les Feux de l'amour. David Ginola is a regular contributor to BBC, BT Sport and CNN television as well as to BBC and talkSPORT radio in the UK. In France, David Ginola presents live football broadcasts as well as 'La France a un Incoryable Talent', the French version of 'Britain's Got Talent" for M6 Television. David Ginola hosted live broadcasts of the 2017 and 2018 Ballon d'Or, the ceremony which crowns the best female and male footballers playing in Europe. Having been an ambassador for the successful bid to stage the Ryder Cup 2018 in France, David hosted the 2018 Ryder Cup Opening Ceremony as well as the Trophy Presentation, bringing together the worlds of sport and entertainment. His aura, presence, communication skills associated with his excellence, flair, and glamour has seen David Ginola front commercials and advertising campaigns for major global brands such as Carte Noir, Nissan, l'Oreal and Renault. David Ginola uses these attributes for charitable goals too, as a campaigner for the Red Cross Anti-Landmine campaign (he was chosen to follow in the footsteps of the late Diana Princess of Wales) and recently as patron and president of the UK based Vision and Sparks charities respectively.
