A life member of the Actors Studio, he has also studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London, with Paul Curtis of the American Mime Company, and with famed acting teacher Sanford Meisner. Active on television and on stage, he married Mujah Maraini-Melehi in 1999. Daniel McDonald died on February 15, 2007, aged 46, from brain cancer.
