Daniel Mateo Vallejo was born on Mar 30, 1994 in Colombia. Daniel Mateo Vallejo's big-screen debut came with The Grey Zones directed by Daniel Mateo Vallejo in 2018.
Audiovisual Communicator from University of Antioquia. Co-founder of Cinespécimen collective where he works as screenwriter, director, producer and distributor. In 2021 he's invited to participate in Locarno Industry Academy-Panamá. In 2019 he was part of Queer Academy Programme at International Queer & Migrant Film Festival in Amsterdam. In 2018 Daniel Mateo signed the Manifesto for Queer Cinema in Colombia. He also has experience as assistant director and script supervisor. The Grey Zones (2018) it's his laureate short film diploma selected in several international and colombian film festivals. He is distributing his debut professional short film Things Among Days (2021) and his next short film as writer, director and producer Vienen las grietas (2022) it's finishing post-production by mid 2022. He also has started the writing of his debut fiction feature Un continente oscuro.
