Dan Block was born in Burlington, Vermont on July 21, 1985. He lived in Colchester, Vermont for about 2 years and moved south to Ferrisburgh, Vermont. There, his younger sister was born when he was three. At six, his parents divorced and he moved with his mother and sister to South Burlington, Vermont. He has lived there ever since. In August of 1998, when he was 13 years old, his film career began as he wrote, starred in, produced, etc. a short, independent film for television called, "1 Woodbine Street". He also, wrote, starred in, directed, produced, etc. another independent film for television, Class of 2000 (1999), a horror/comedy about a group of teenager's graduation party.
