Damon DiMarco was born in Princeton, New Jersey. A writer as well as an actor, his books include The Actor's Art and Craft and The Actor's Guide to Creating a Character, both co-authored with William Esper of the William Esper Studio in New York, with whom Damon trained to earn his MFA from Rutgers University. Other books include the critically acclaimed oral histories Tower Stories: an Oral History of 9/11 and Heart of War: Soldier's Voices from the Front Lines of Iraq. Damon's book, My Two Chinas: the Memoir of a Chinese Counterrevolutionary (with Baiqiao Tang) was endorsed by His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Damon has also written stage plays, screenplays, and television pilots.
