Cordereau 'Cord' Dye is a television and film actor and recording artist. He was born in Charlotte, North Carolina, on March 20, 1987. Cordereau's career in the entertainment industry spans over twenty years. His first acting role was at age five in the Christian Bible verses musical video compilation entitled Hide Em In Your Heart Volume 1 (1992) with Steve Green. He has appeared in four motion pictures, which include: Waterproof (2000), Michael Jordan: An American Hero (1999), The Angel Doll (2002), and Having our Say: The Delaney Sisters' First 100 Years (1999), a TV movie which won a Peabody Award in 2000 for Excellence in Television. He has done commercials and radio spots with Presbyterian Healthcare, Hardee's, Target, The Charlotte Housing Partnership, and The College Foundation of North Carolina. Other professionals he has worked with in feature films include: Burt Reynolds, Debbie Allen, Ernie Hudson, Camille Cosby, Diahann Carroll, Richard Roundtree, Ruby Dee, Orlando Jones, Robin Givens, Lonette McKee, and Whitman Mayo, among others. Cordereau has been written on by the Chicago Tribune (1999), Sun Sentinel (1999), Greensboro News & Record (1999), JET Magazine (1999), and The Virginian-Pilot (2010). Cordereau's first project as both an actor and musician was Road Trip (2004), a 2004 NYC International Film Festival Award Winning educational film produced by Kendall Phills, the widowed wife of former pro basketball star Bobby Phills; Cordereau starred in it and co-produced the musical score. He also appeared in the 'Lake Pontchartrain Jane Doe Killer' episode of America's Most Wanted (2005) as a robbery victim. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Hampton University in 2009. Cordereau also recently wrote a dramatic screenplay entitled The Family Trap, which is in pre-production (2016).
