Cody Burns was born in Missoula, Montana. While growing up, he attended the Missoula Children's Theater, where he performed in many full-scale theater productions until 2002 when his family relocated to Oregon. There, he met childhood friend Chris Rex , and by 2004 the two co-founded a volunteer media organization called Spike Industries Studios. The next years saw several projects bloom through the non-profit group, most notably Rex's Prank Calls series and the indie cult film Guadalajara: The Experience. Praised for his work on indie film, Burns has seen many passion projects come to life, not limited to four pop/rock music albums featured on mainstream radio, two indie film awards, several novel releases in his King of the Golden Sun adventure series, and internet fandom through his role of KK Slider in the first fan dub of Animal Crossing: The Movie (2006). The passion for film led to Burns landing guest roles on mainstream television, most notably NBC's Grimm and TNT's The Librarians. A born dreamer, musician, and three time state martial arts champion, Burns has his foot in many doors and keeps pushing the envelope on what can be done to inspire others to pursue their goals.
