David Christopher Winters, or better known as Chris Winters is an American model/actor. Chris was born on November 7, 1970, in Hopewell, a small town outside Richmond, Virginia, USA with his parents, step-parents and siblings, Patrick, Melissa & April.Growing up, Chris had parents who worked throughout the day, usually leaving him to be alone at home. Being alone gave Chris a lot of time which eventually sparked his interest in many things such as science fiction, drawing comic books, writing stories and by using a tape recorder to re-invent a certain scene. Chris was also said to be obsessed over the current project he had in his hands where at one point, involved a bridge named Benjamin Harrison in Charles County, Virginia. He found out that the bridge had been destroyed by a tanker and he was affected by it, leading to him drawing the bridge from memory and to investigate the cause of the accident.Up until his teen years, Chris had a normal childhood. It wasn't until he had a rebellious streak that his outlook on life changed. High school was somewhat a challenge for him because he often felt bored with his classes and he always had that feeling of leaving his hometown because he thought it wasn't 'fast or inventive' enough. Chris then got himself into music, forming a band called the 3 Bad Rockers. Members of the band included Randy Kelly,James Lewis and himself. He was a fan of punk and alternative punk as well as trance music. The band was even dubbed as the "Beastie Boys type" but eventually disbanded because of Chris' ever changing goals. After graduating from high school, Chris was recommended by one of his friends to get into modeling. The 6' 1" star was at the perfect height for the modeling industry But during that time, he did not have enough information about the career so, he had to give up on it. Chris tried doing other things such as making small films and comedy bits with his friends. Not too long later, he eventually gave up and got into the HAZmat career, again, due to lack of resources. The HAZmat world was something Chris enjoyed because of its dangerous excitement, but as luck would have it, he wanted to get back to his old-creative side where he could better himself. That side of him turned out to have something to do with computers. Chris studied very hard to become an application developer, using the C++ language. By the time he hit his mid-twenties, he already worked as a software developer for major companies which includes G.E. Financial Assurance, Symantec Corporation and Dominion Enterprises. It wasn't too long until Chris decided that he could use a change in career to challenge himself.Through a mutual friend, he met up with a local female model and photographer in the Virginia Beach area. They both decided that it was time for Chris to get back into the modeling industry. Chris then eventually went through the re-invention process after he watched and studied different models and their work. His approach towards modeling was rather different compared to some of the stereotype models. Chris worked on himself, his confidence and his ability to create great imagery with his surrounding environment. During the year 2005, Chris traveled to different part of the United States to work with great photographers and expand his networking. That year, according to Chris was called the "Alive in '05" because it best described his mission and accomplishments in the year 2005.Soon, Chris got himself into the acting industry. He began attending acting session, and with the help of fellow acting coaches, Antonio Zarro, Kelley Davis and Karen Whitlow, he learned the passion of acting. He studied various aspect of the field, such as camera techniques and scene study. Once he got a hold of the industry, he began getting feature roles in local television commercials which includes Gateway Bank, Arby's and Chartway Credit Union. Later on, one of Chris' friend suggested that he went for the casting and submission of Subaru. He met the people who did the production of the commercial and got a spot in their ad. From that moment, Chris became hooked being in front of the camera. He realized that the rush of working, together with the opportunity to meet and work with different people was what he always wanted all along. After the Subaru commercial, Chris scored a job with Cable TV's Discovery Channel. He was featured in two episodes, "Casino Bomber" and "Stolen Identity", of the F.B.I Files, a show that had stories of true F.B.I. crime scene investigations. After his appearance in the series, he was cast in "Swallowed" a work by Helen Cunningham, where he played a problematic person who was an alcoholic. When the year 2005 had passed, he received a call from casting directors at New Dominion. Chris learned that he fit the part of a character that soon became one of the best episodes of the season. That episode was also a stint from Discovery Channel but this time, it was in the series, "A Haunting". He was featured in the episode titled "Ghost Soldier", and when Discovery Channel aired that episode a few times, Chris was noticed by the public. He started getting more feature and lead roles in various independent films. Among the films that Chris appeared in are Evan Almighty, Cumulus, The Break-Up and Inner Sanctum. That same year, he also worked with 2006 Playboy playmate, Holley Dorrough and glamor photographer, Rolando Gomez.Chris has entered the Romance World where he was discovered by an author and a producer. He attended the Romantic Times convention numerous times where Fabio and Adrian Paul started, and he gained momentum by published and non-published authors. In 2007, Chris competed in the Mr Romance Competition but lost to Jason Santiago because he was a newcomer but he became well known due to his down to earth personality and being real. Chris now wasn't only modeling and acting. In fact, if you take a closer look, it would be apparent that Chris appeared everywhere including the Internet, publications and even calendars. The year 2008 also became a busy year for Chris. He joined the Mr Romance competition again, not giving up from his previous year. He was sponsored by a famous romance author, Christine Feehan. Chris eventually won the competition in 2008. He also starred in "Check, Please", a short comedy by Trent Duncan of Venture Court Productions, that has become a wonderful comedy shot. Chris also had a spot in the award-winning music video by We Were Gentlemen's "Cradle Your Filth" music video, playing the severely beat up boyfriend. The Keanu Reeves look-alike/stand-in mentioned that recently, he has developed a passion in writing which also includes poems and short snippets. Currently, he is working on a novel called Invisible War as well as two other novels, Justice and Tungsten Guide to: Empathetic Mania, in his mind. Many would think that Chris spends most of his time with work, but Chris has mentioned that he enjoys working out, cooking, writing to his fans and working on his website during his free time.
