Chris Carberg was born on March 4th, 1983 to John and Connie Carberg. A Producer, Actor, Screenwriter, and Playwright, Chris didn't begin acting until he was 14. His father, John, a former Eugene O'Neill award winner, didn't want him acting until it was something that he was sure was a passion. Chris's first play in high school in The Music Man, at JP Taravella High School. At the same time, his dear friend W. Earl Brown, who played Warren in There's Something About Mary, got him a gig on the set of Mary. His fire was ignited, and from then on, the only thing he could think of was theatre and film. Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth, Up the Down Staircase, Crazy for You, The World of Carl Sandburg, Something's Afoot, then at the University of Central Florida, Arsenic and Old Lace, The Dining Room, The Merry Wives of Windsor, Three Sisters (Irene Ryan Nomination), 5 Women Wearing the Same Dress, and Margo Veil: an Entertainment (Which was selected by the American College Theatre Festival to represent the south east in Jacksonville, and was nationally recognized). In High School, Chris had met Vitor Santos, and the two became close friends, making little films. Carberg always thought that Santos had a genius cinematic vision and so, the two collaborated on their first project in 2002, called The Oblivious Obvious (written by Carberg). Following the successful premiere of this short gangster film, they embarked on filming a feature. Carberg was set in the role of producer, now for his second time, and raised funding for The Prodigal Guns. The film was produced in Fellsmere, FL, and Sebastian, FL, and included a number of actors from Chris's high school, college, and the professional realm. The shooting of the picture was a success. The post production process began, and while at Fullsail film institute, Santos met Mikey Carr, who edited and would become a producer on The Prodigal Guns. Mikey Carr's company Believe Entertainment, is a partner with Carberg in the release of The Prodigal Guns. The Prodigal Guns is set for release in Summer 2007. Chris Carberg also has written three plays, much of which having to deal with Drug Abuse. Carberg, a recovering addict, wrote the plays as a response to a culture of drug abuse and abusing prescription medications which he himself had a dependence upon. Mourning in Bohemia, Chris's first one act play, opened April 21st, 2007, to a full audience at UCF's One Act Festival. Mikey Carr, Vitor Santos, and Carberg are now working on adapting some of Chris's other works. He prides his recovery on faith, (He is a Christian), and in March of 2007, Chris married Jenna Basham in Orlando Florida. He just finished filming the feature film "Sydney White" with Amanda Bynes, and is working hard on the finishing of The Prodigal Guns.
