Chiquinquira Delgado--better known as "Chiqui"--is a renowned Venezuelan actress and TV host/presenter. Born in Maracaibo, it was in Caracas where she developed her artistic career. Her beauty, elegance and intelligence led her to participate in the Miss Venezuela pageant in 1990, in which she was first runner up,. From there she went on to become one of the country's top runway models and later a television personality, (her first important job was as host on TV Time (1996)). By 1993 she was the face and image of the #1 network in her country, Venevisión, and continued to be so for many years, becoming one of the most charismatic personalities in show business.She started her career in major soap operas in 1999 with the melodrama Calypso (1999). By 2000 she was designated the image of Sony Entertainment Television. She played leading roles in the soap operas Cosita rica (2003) and Mambo y canela (2002), among others.
